Cool infographic! Honestly, I need to get better about checking online for coupons. We are still in the stone age of checking the newspaper for them.

    • DC @ Young Adult Money says

@GregatClubThrifty Hey, newspaper has some of the best ones!

  2. FrugalRules says

Nice infographic! I still need to try the leave it in the shopping cart trick. I do virtually all of our online shopping with Amazon and they don’t seem to do it….which does not surprise me.

    • DC @ Young Adult Money says

@FrugalRules Haha yeah I haven’t done the abandon shopping cart trick yet either.  I really would like to try it out and see how it goes.  I use Amazon 95% of the time.

  3. DebtRoundUp says

This is a great infographic that I was going to post up next week.  Thanks for beating me out DC!  I actually have tried these tactics and they really do work.  I will do pretty much anything for a coupon online before I check out.  It is a must!

    • DC @ Young Adult Money says

@DebtRoundUp Hey, feel free to use it, I’m sure Kyle would appreciate it.  This is my first infographic I’ve published because I HATE not doing it the first day ;)

  4. KyleJames1 says

Thanks for posting this DC, I really appreciate it! I was a little hesitant about creating an infographic since they seem to be a dime a dozen these days with a bunch of useless facts and numbers. But I thought creating one with some new coupon savings strategies could actually be useful.

    • DC @ Young Adult Money says

@KyleJames1 Hey no problem, I really like this one.  I enjoy them in general, though sometimes people try to cram too many facts and numbers, like you said.

  5. TacklingOurDebt says

Cool infographic DC & Kyle! It is amazing how popular they have become and it is because many people learn more from something visual then they do from reading a post or a book.

    • DC @ Young Adult Money says

@TacklingOurDebt Yeah it definitely is a nice change of scenery.

  6. JustinatTheFrugalPath says

Kyle’s infographic is good. I especially love that he added the empty your cart trick. You can save quite a bit of money by making the site think that you’re leaving.

  7. StudentDebtSurvivor says

I’ve used the “back out” trick in the past. I’ve also online chatted with a rep and asked for a discount. Both saved me money which was great.

  8. Eyesonthedollar says

Love that infographic. There is always some tactic you can use to save money.

  9. RebeMSchleusz says

I liked how you used graphics to explain the concept of couponing. Great way to explain for those of us who are more visual. It is amazing to see how much technology is changing the way consumers buy. Great job on illustrating this.

  10. seedebtrun says

i never buy something online without first googling around to see if there is a coupon code currently available for that store somewhere.
