20 Giveaways for Friday – Freezing Cold Edition
Welcome to the weekly Friday giveaway post! I decided to make this a weekly post after getting good feedback from last Friday’s giveaway post.
I named this week the “Freezing Cold” edition because it’s been below zero for much of the week here in Minnesota. It’s painfully cold. I’m not sure my 200k+ mile car would make it if I didn’t have a garage to put it in. Ironically, this is the first winter I have ever had a garage.
The giveaways listed below are pretty much all Rafflecopter giveaways. For the most part I will only include non-Rafflecopter giveaways if it’s something worth listing. These giveaways end relatively quickly, for sure before next Friday. Some may even end today! I will only post giveaways (other than my own) that end within the week; otherwise it will be in next Friday’s post (or the week after that, or the week after that, etc.) so you will know pretty quick if you won any that you entered today or over the weekend.

What’s everyone’s plans for the weekend?
We have a renter moving in ONE WEEK from today. We still need to get the appliances delivered, finish painting, install a few new light fixtures, sink…needless to say I will be working on it Saturday afternoon/evening as well as Sunday afternoon.
Tomorrow night I will be relaxing with some friends and Saturday morning I have a leadership conference at our church. I need to fit some blogging in at some point, but once we have the renter moved in things should slow down. The rental space is already starting to look great and I think our renter will be pretty excited about the upgrades.

What do you have as a rental unit? I'm thinking of getting one but unsure of getting a house and renting it out or getting a duplex. Any suggestions/advice? @youngadultmoney
@khangn14 Our basement has a separate entrance that leads into a pretty big room which has a walk-in closet and kitchenette. Connected to that is a bathroom and from there the laundry room. That makes everything totally separate except for the laundry room, which we share (if it was someone I don't know I would not offer them the laundry room). I would recommend a duplex or something that has a separate entrance for a renter.

Welcome to my life! My brother (our tenant) is moving in on Tuesday, so under a week. We have to paint, finish the countertop, put the appliances in, and put in a gas line to the stove. Oh, and clean the suite. It's going to be a busy weekend.
@addvodka wow Tuesday...that's coming up quick! Ours won't move in until Friday, but we need every minute until then to get it ready. The toilet has become a major pain and I'm SO CLOSE to getting it set up. The drain pipe leaks, though, so I need to go get a new fitting. Everything takes so long!

Oh wow 70 degree weather sounds amazing right now. It's above 0 degrees now so not quite as bad lol but the wind chill is still pretty dang low.

We had one week like that but we probably won't have any more this winter. 30's is absolutely a heat wave in my book. I don't know if I could stand Minnesota cold. Can't wait to hear about more renter adventures and thanks for the giveaway list. Great idea.

Minneapolis has been ridiculous lately. I know some places are even colder, but we really got hit hard. Makes me wish for 30 degree weather!
